Terms and Conditions

These terms are a starting draft. Have them reviewed by your lawyer — particularly the payment, title, returns and liability clauses — before publishing, and delete this note.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the supply of goods by Metwood Australia Pty Ltd and to your use of this website. Placing an order means you accept them.

2. Prices

Prices are in Australian dollars. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude GST and freight. Prices may change without notice; the price that applies is the one confirmed when your order is accepted.

3. Orders and stock

An order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm the order or dispatch the goods. Where a line is unavailable we will contact you to offer an alternative or cancel that line.

4. Account customers and payment

Payment terms for approved account customers are set out in your account application. Accounts not paid within terms may be placed on hold. Non-account orders are payable before dispatch.

5. Delivery and risk

Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title does not pass until the goods are paid for in full.

6. Inspection

Please check goods against the delivery docket on arrival and tell us promptly about shortages, damage or incorrect items so we can resolve them.

7. Returns

Contact us before returning anything so we can authorise it. Goods must be unused, in original packaging and in resalable condition. Special order, custom printed and clearance items are generally not returnable. A restocking fee may apply to change-of-mind returns.

8. Product information and safety

Product images and descriptions are indicative, and manufacturers change specifications and packaging from time to time. Chemicals must be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the relevant safety data sheet. You are responsible for ensuring products are suitable and safely used at your site.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 9, our liability for any claim is limited to replacing the goods or refunding the price paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

11. Website content

Content on this site is provided for general information. We take care to keep it accurate but do not warrant that it is complete or current. All trade marks are the property of their respective owners.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
